CWD Community Involvement:
The move toward energy efficiency is gaining serious momentum around the world. At CWD, we take our responsibility to the environment and the communities we serve very seriously. Energy management encompasses two equally important principles at CWD: environmental advocacy and cost savings.
Consumers can choose green solutions such as "lead free" PVC in all our vinyl products, or environment friendly glass spacer systems that resist mould growth on windows. On a commercial front, you’ll notice many of our products incorporated into LEED designated buildings. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a North American wide accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.
Significant effort and resources have gone into our manufacturing processes to reduce waste. To that end, we have achieved almost 100% recycling and reapplication for all the components we use throughout our plant including glass, PVC, wood and steel. It is one more way we ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for today and more importantly for tomorrow.
